3 Steps to Manifest What You Want Effortlessly

4/9/2020

Today I would like to talk about how to manifest what you want by practicing these 3 steps, I call it: doing by not doing.

My name is Wen Chi Chien. I am a Psychotherapist, a life coach and the founder of Zen Institute.

I’m with Gordon Ingwersen. He is an amazing mentor to me. I would like get some insight from him about today ‘s topic “doing by not doing.

So,what does it mean, doing by not doing?
Growing up in a Chinese culture, for years, I was irritated whenever I heard about the quote from Lao Tse, “Doing by not doing” It's stupid, it doesn't make sense, and I never understood what it meant, how can you be doing something by not doing it? It was just too hard for me to comprehend.

But, Most recently, I have more clarity and a deeper  understanding about what it means.

Let me give you an example. I have been working on this project: write a book, and create a series of videos for the tools I’ve been teaching at Zen Institute.

This project is humongous. Every time when I thought about it, I would just feel overwhelmed and paralyzed.

Just this past weekend, I DID it!!! I completed the entire filming project in JUST two days. It was a miracle!!!

How did I do it?  It was a mental shift :  “Doing by not doing!”

Here are 3 steps to manifest whatever you want:

Step 1:
When you wake up in the morning, you offer yourself to the Universe, and you say, "Universe, please use me to bless people in this world, whichever way you want to, I'm all yours!"

Step 2:
Allow the “Infinite Intelligence” to run through me.

This means I'm going to put my ego aside, I'm going to let the inspiration and ideas come to me.

My job is to be the messenger, I deliver the message to whoever I meet in my life.  Meantime, I'm going to enjoy myself and have fun with it.

Step 3:
I don't have to do it by myself, I am the co-creator with the Universe.

If you have already connected to your higher power, your “Inner Being”, I called it your “Inner Twin”, that is wonderful, you are good to go.

The key is to put your ego aside,
have faith in the way things are and
allow yourself to be guided.

That's it.

Step 1:  Offer myself to the universe.

Step 2:  Let the infinite intelligence run through me.

Step 3:  I don't have to do it by myself.

Now you know how you can manifest whatever you want in your life, simply following these 3 steps.

I completed a humongous project in just 2 days without sweat. I had so much fun creating it and I did it effortlessly!

Try it, you will be amazed how simple it is! Whatever you want, you can create it effortlessly. Doing by not doing!

What I have learned from this experience is:

The more control I want to have, the less control I will have. The second I let go of my need to be in control. I am in control. Doing by not doing is the way to manifest whatever you want effortlessly. Go with the flow, enjoy every moment of it, savor it, taste the deliciousness of the life that you have created.

So Gordon, share with us about what is your take on about “doing by not doing”. Talk about the resistance and acceptance.

Gordon:

Well I think the key thing is to get your ego out of the way like you said. Humans are naturally resistant. And where the resistance comes from is your ego.

Your ego thinks it's doing its job by protecting you, it wants to process every little thing, and compare it to all the knowledge that it's stored up over the years all in an effort to protect you. Once you become aware of that process, the best thing to do is just figure out how to set that aside for a moment and get yourself into a receiving mode.

And the ego is a resisting thing. Again, like I said, it's trying to protect you, that's its whole goal. But you're not able to receive if you're resisting too much.

So once you become aware of the fact that you're resisting, you're trying to figure everything out in your head, you're trying to process everything, once you realize that's happening, and you're able to stop that from happening,
you are putting yourself into a receiving mode. This is the key.

So a lot of times when I'm trying to figure something out, or come up with an idea for something, the best thing I can do is stop myself from thinking about it
however I can do that, do something else, think about something else, sometimes I just go to bed.

And it's always surprising to me, when I stop thinking about something, in other words, I stop resisting, that's when the good ideas come.

Once you learn to develop this process, that's the best way to move forward.

Again, back to the doing by not doing. When you're trying to figure everything out yourself, and you don’t trust the fact that the universe is actually there to help everyone, and a tiny bit of faith in that, then it's much easier to move forward.

Wen Chi:

Very good. Since you talk about faith, I'm thinking about “Have faith in the way things are.” The law of attraction is that whatever you want, you will get it. The universe will never say, "I disagree with you." The universe will always say, "Your wish is my command."

Say, you are the customer in the restaurant, the universe is the waiter.

Whatever you order, the waiter would say, "Yes, ma'am, yes, sir. Whatever you order, I will bring it right over." But you said, "Well, I want this, this, this, this, this, but wait a minute, I don't have money, I can’t afford it, I don’t deserve it…

The waiter says, "okay, well, here is some left over crumbs under the table. Go ahead, sit down on the ground and help yourself."

You created this lacking mentality. You feel miserable all the time.

Guess what, law of attraction is a real deal. Whatever you focus on, it will expand. You focus on how miserable your life is, You will attract more people who are feeling just like you, They live their lives based on a lacking mentality.

That is the bad news.

The good news is that you can switch over to an abundance mentality and allow the Universe to offer you Unlimited Abundance, then you can move forward effortlessly

I use the bus driver as an analogy. Whatever you want to manifest in your life, you can have it.

You're at point A, don’t focus on how bad your current situation is. It is irrelevant. If you continue to focus how bad it is where you are, you will become a dog that is chasing its own tail, you are going nowhere.

Your focus should be where you are going. The first thing is that you identify where you want to be: Point B.

Let’s say you want to go to Disneyland, all right.

The bus comes. The first thing you want to do is not to doubt yourself, get on the bus. In the past, how many times you have doubted yourself, when the opportunity arrived, you just passed on because you were too scared to get on the bus.

Let’s say, finally you get on the bus, now the next step is to have the faith that this bus is going to arrive at Disneyland.

So stop doubting, stop panicking.

If you're panicking, you are worrying about not going to get to the place you want to be, It would be like you're the passenger carrying two suitcases in the moving vehicle, and you're losing your balance, and freaking out.

You tell the bus driver, "Oh my God, you're going the wrong way, you should go this way, why are you going that way?" In reality, all you need to do is to put down your suitcases, sit down, and enjoy the ride.

Stop freaking out. You are on the journey to go to point B, You must  have faith that this bus driver is the Universe. So, let the bus driver do his job.

When the bus arrives at the point B, remember to get off the bus, because sometimes you already passed the stop. You continued to lack of faith and sit on the bus, you missed out the fun for arriving at Point B.

Once you get off the bus, enjoy your journey by being curious, allowing things unfolding in front of your eyes!

Doing by not doing- means EASY does it!

Practice these 3 steps to manifest what you want effortlessly!

Step 1: Offer yourself to the Universe,
Step 2: allow the infinite intelligence run through you
Step 3: you don’t have to do it alone!

Remember don't try to be motivated, be inspired. Don't try to be patient, be curious.

Life is full of mysteries, enjoy the unfolding!
